According to the new immigration law, you can invite your parents to stay with you in Canada for up to two years. Finally, the Government of Canada has simplified the way parents and grandparents can visit their family in Canada. All sponsorship applications have been suspended for now and instead replaced with the new Super Visa. It now takes about 4 to 8 weeks to receive the new visa and the it is given for 10 years. The parents or grandparents can stay in Canada for up to 2 years at a time.
